So ultimately I am aiming for something like this.

I did, yes. Took a BIG hammer, but I got it out.

This is my template for the new pipe ... which will fit in like so: I will then most likely lose the front end, and have proper lasercut brackets to fit like so:

IMO Chris, this cradle is seriously overengineered. The frame is only as strong as the weakest point, and of those there are plenty. It needs a serious revamp, so will be doing it all at the same time. Take a look at these angles. Try and find 2 that are the same.

It looks like his eyecrometer was a little out of calibration when he drilled the holes in the "bashplate" as well. Yes, I know it is under the bike and you cannot see it, but really?!!

The yellow square in this pic shows the exact location of the sump plug.

OK. So I have removed the wheelchair from the bike, and the next challenge has presented itself. There is no way to remove the cradle that fits under the motor from the sidecar frame. I assume (hope) the shaft is loose and can be removed from the tube.

Rear axle spacer damage & worn bearing hub

What did they charge you to do that?

It would not surprise me if it was, but I think it's just the angle of the flash casting a shadow.

In this case they have removed the centerstand and used those points to mount the frame.

Yes, the 2 in the pics above, and then 2 more to the lower frame, circled in red. The green circles are where the frame attaches to the motor. Left side. And right side

The frame under the motor has 6 points of contact. The top side has just the 2 in the pics above.

The rear just has a bolt on plate that secures to the rear subframe.

This rig has a shaft through the top of the engine, but it replaces the bolt that secures the telelever to the engine, so the engine doesn't move.

Already been mentioned more than once.
