Oh zuddup Petri, is me getting older obvious?
😋
The Kove's a Rally bike, therefore perfect for those type of long tours.
But it's not an enduro mountain goat, so it took some strain in Lesotho.... where John & me were dicing up some long rocky shite tracks where the belly took some hits.
John...
There was Dom, indeed mine - but during our recent Wildcoast trip Gideon Joubert, his bakkie's backup driver and sterling rider himself, who knows the areas well where we'll be going, mentioned I rather bring my 500 due to the rocky technical stuff we'll be doing, Robbie's Pass only a part of...
I just now returned from Namibia, Hardy's Specialized Adventures Kaokoland May Tour, which I did on the Kove.
And a week or so before that I did Wildwood's Lesotho/Wildcoast tour also, after which the forks were tended to by Foxi above.
I'll report on this all later, unpacking my shit and other...
After having done around 5K km's on mine (a tour in the southern Drakensberg, Lesotho & Transkei plus a tour of the Kaokoland I just came back from) that bit is the understatement of what you (well!) wrote - the Kove leaves the 500 in the dust on long stretches and does this really very...

Sorry Welsh, but there's no castrol-proof gasket maker, refer my above "away" but read 'ground' of course.
You're telling me that Pick&Pay has stopped selling their housebrand of recycled&filtered engine oil?????
Daayum, now I'll have to go search for my vehicles' oil needs....
Never done 160 myself with a mousse, but 130 often - and then not for hours but perhaps 10mins max, otherwise the speed will be adjusted, 115 feels good in a group ride with 690's - and then they do not feel hot, just normal warm.
They hold well the way I use them, and I intend to keep it that...
Easy: the liaisons on the great dirtroads they have there, especially those to get you North.
@Rickus actually cooked his tube there (on his 990 yeah) because he was a bit haastig 😋
Michelin BIB Mousses only (not the more costly Rally type), on (always good) advice from @Runner , and the tyre it goes in also plays an important role - ask them, they know!!
The cheaper alternatives don't work that well or not as long, although I must say I've have had one Dunlop mousse in the...
