    Another thing is the oil itself. I see they specify a 20w50 for the mini. Not sure if there is anything else needed for the gearbox but i recon it wil be fine with a decent oil like gtx or rimula or total quarts. This is an old type engine with quite large clearances.     I will not bother with valvestem seals. The seals are designed to allow a minute amount off oil past them to lubricate the valve stem and guide anyway. They cause heavy smoking on start up.     If it is not pushing out coolant i doubt that there is blown head gasket. That will also cause it to overheat in +-10km or less of normal driving. My best bet is cylinder nr 3 that is black is where oil is burning causing the smoke. Valvestem seal will smoke on sartup an go away. Oil ring/s...
