I watch accident videos, dashcam stuff, I dont seek it but being part of 100 riding groups etc, it comes up.. mostly non fatal but I can say with absolute certainty that they have, along with common sence, shaped how I ride on the road, my decision making and risk taking.

these kinds of accidents are a massive shame as they are completly unnessary.. it seems like it's very common for people driving and riding there to overtake on that barrier, the guys going through before the bike nearly suffered the same fate

R17k is crazy for a pump.. what is wrong with the one they have? is it totally buggered? can it not be refurished? I took my 2017 fuel pump out and gave it a good clean, new teabag etc I was amazed at how much gunk was in the tank.. using a filter sock over the fuel pump is recommended.
