Hi All, I bought an XR650R 2006 model here in Tanzania. It was originally imported from RSA but is suspect not done properly. I'm wondering if it's possible to trace it's origin in SA and check it wasn't stolen at some stage? S

The three that spring to mind, has the standard fuel pump been replaced with some more reliable, example Facet, and the regulator/rectifier tends to fry itself. Has that been replaced with eg MOSFET I think is the preferred item. Starter solenoid can give issues too. Other normal stuff like...

Sorry for the late response. Bike ran fine on our ou ballies trip from Potch to Sedgefield. Since done CT, west coast back to George and now back up to Potch. I'm told still strong. Cheers

Next step I'm told is the fuel pressure regulator thingy. No.1 in the attached pic. Also told only available from BMW dealers. Looks expensive!

Morning All, Need some assistance again. The bike is having trouble accelorating up to and beyond 120kph. Lower speeds no problem. We changed the air filter, previous was still clean. No improvement. We have been advised to check/clean/replace the in tank fuel filter. Checking out the tube...
