To my knowledge, Lithium batteries have different charge - characteristics? ....if the bike was designed and built for lead acid type battery, then a lithium might not be able to handle the charge rate? .....just wondering.....🤔

Did a 512km round trip today from Rosetta to Vryheid and back on Zamalek.... These bikes are awesome! 👍 It will sit at 7000rpm all day without breaking a sweat.... Fuel consumption at that speed= about 30.4 km/L. Really enjoyed doing a tar road trip,and the 300Rally is very capable of doing this!

Those Rotax motors on the Bmw dakars are very reliable and fuel efficient.... maybe get the clutch, waterpump and compression checked. Good price for this!

So the number plate plastic backing plate cracked and died.... Fitted a Tail-tidy and bolted the plate on directly.... Looks a bit better and saved some more weight.....the standard plate holder is very strong,but surprisingly heavy.

I do oil change every 5000km with oil & filter at 10 000km intervals..... It makes things easier to remember and then I know the oil's good. Use Motul 5100 4T. i may be a bit predantic about this, but I've done this with all my bikes and never had issues. My transalp was sold at 197 000 km and...
