Yeh. It just never seemed to cause much issue on the Vtwins. My 990 sounded kak, both 1190s sounded kak, and the 1290 sounded kak...

All the KTM Vtwins are dry sump, even the 950 I think, but definitely from 990 up. They have an oil "tank" at the front of the motor...

One of the theories is low oil pressure on startup and it's been proven a few times by a few people with the right testing equipment...

Might be a combination of the freeplay, and how far your lever is set from the bars meaning it's not disengaging the cluthc completely...
